Service and process
How does the carpet cleaning work?
You book a pickup online or request a free estimate. We collect your carpets from home, clean them at our professional facility, and return them clean to your door. You don't need to carry anything or transport the carpets anywhere.
How long does cleaning take?
Standard turnaround is 3–5 business days from pickup. Carpets over 12 m² may take 5–10 business days. Processing time starts from the day after collection. If you need faster delivery, get in touch.
What types of carpets do you clean?
We clean almost all carpet types: cotton, synthetic, flatweave, wool, hand-knotted, silk, Persian, rag rugs, high-pile, and entrance mats. If your carpet type is not listed, contact us — we'll check with our wash engineer.
Do you clean other textiles besides carpets?
We're happy to wash other textiles too – duvets, curtains, and anything else suitable for a professional laundry. This service is available to existing customers. Get in touch to find out more.
Is the service insured?
Yes. Every order is fully insured. If something exceptional happens, you're covered. So far this has never occurred — but it's important to know the cover is there.
Pricing
How is the price calculated?
The price is based on your carpet's material and area. Standard carpets (cotton, synthetic, rag rug) 19 €/m², premium carpets (wool, hand-knotted, silk, Persian) 31 €/m². Area is rounded up to the next full square metre. Pickup and return is 22 € per order.
Is there a minimum order?
Yes — the minimum charge is 3 m² per order, not per carpet. If your order includes several small carpets, the minimum applies to the whole order in total. This is due to the washing process, whose fixed costs don't depend on carpet size.
When do I pay?
You pay after delivery, once you're happy with your carpets. Payment after service, online: invoice, online banking, card, or Klarna (on request).
Can I get an invoice?
Yes — everyone receives an invoice. For business customers, invoicing is standard with VAT and e-invoicing support. Let us know your billing preference when ordering.
Is pickup charged separately?
Yes — pickup and return is 22 € per order. For orders with 4 or more carpets, pickup and return is free. In the Concierge service, pickup and return is included in the 149 € service fee.
Pickup and delivery
Do you cover areas outside the Helsinki metropolitan area?
We primarily serve Helsinki, Espoo, and Vantaa. For larger orders we can arrange pickup across greater Uusimaa – get in touch and we'll work it out together. For smaller orders outside the metropolitan area we're not able to help at this time.
How quickly can you collect?
Usually the next business day. We don't collect on weekends. Book online and see available times in real time.
Do I need to be home for pickup and return?
Yes — or leave clear instructions for where to leave or collect the carpets. This works well for houses with a garden or porch. When we agree on a time, we arrive exactly then.
How is the carpet returned?
We bring your carpets back to your door at the agreed time. Carpets are rolled and neatly packaged. With the Concierge service, we place them back in exactly the same spot we collected them from.
How long until I get my carpets back?
Usually 3–5 business days from pickup. If you need your carpets back on a specific day, mention it when booking — we'll do our best to accommodate.
Carpet care
How often should I clean my carpet?
For most homes, once a year is a good rhythm. If you have pets, children, or allergy sufferers at home, twice a year is better. During particularly dirty periods — like spring after road sanding, or before Christmas — an extra clean is always a good call.
Is machine washing safe for hand-knotted rugs?
Hand-knotted rugs need special attention — they don't suit a standard machine washing process. We assess every carpet individually and choose the right method based on material and construction. For hand-knotted rugs we use hand-assisted processes that protect the fibres and colours.
What if my carpet is very valuable or delicate?
We have experience handling carpets over 100 years old. Our head wash engineer assesses every valuable carpet personally. Before cleaning, we run colour-bleed and structural tests. We use flat washing and only return the carpet when fully dry — our facility has a professional drying room with a dehumidifier and temperature control.
Are carpets returned fully dry?
Always. We don't return carpets until they are completely dry throughout. Our facility has a professional drying room with a dehumidifier and temperature control.
What products do you use?
We use professional certified cleaning products selected individually for each carpet material and type. Products are fragrance-free and biodegradable — safe for children, pets, and allergy sufferers. We continually develop our methods and explore new cleaning chemicals to achieve the best results.
Business customers
Do you work with businesses?
Yes. We work with hotels, offices, property companies, retailers, interior designers, and many others. Invoicing, recurring schedules, and larger orders — all handled. See our business services page for more details.
Can we agree on a recurring collection schedule?
Yes — this is a common arrangement for business customers. We agree once, and then we show up, clean, and invoice on the agreed schedule. You don't have to remember to order separately each time.
How does invoicing work for businesses?
We support VAT invoices and e-invoicing. Monthly billing is available for larger order volumes. The invoicing method is agreed before the first order. Get in touch and we'll go through the details.
What is the Concierge service?
Concierge is our premium service for valuable carpets or those that need extra care. For a flat service fee of 149 €, you get: exact-time pickup at your home, rolling handled by us, best cleaning method individually assessed, carpets returned to exactly the same spot, and personal oversight from Roman Shamray. Carpet cleaning is charged at the normal 19–31 €/m² rate on top of the service fee. Read more on our Concierge page.
